Front Door Speaker Installation Guide
Below is a guide to install the front speakers of many popular GM trucks and SUV's.
Applications:
Chevrolet:
1999 - 2006 C1500/K1500/Silverado
2007 Silverado Classic
1999 - 2006 Tahoe
1999 - 2006 Suburban

1999 - 2006 C1500/K1500/Sierra
2007 Sierra Classic
1999 - 2006 Yukon
1999 - 2006 Yukon XL/Suburban

Step 1: Remove the door sail panel by using a pry tool to unsnap the clips and then pulling upwards |
|
Step 2: Remove the interior door lock by prying on the trim ring and pushing forward |
|
Step 3: Pry the window switch panel up and disconnect the switches |
|
Step 4: Remove the two 7mm bolts that are securing the door panel to the door frame. The first is located under the power window panel that was just removed. |
|
The other screw is located under the door pull, just above the handle. |
|
Step 5: Remove the trim from around the door handle |
|
Step 6: Remove the reflector from the door. The reflector has notches in it that are made for prying on to remove it. Disconnect the wires going to the reflector. |

Step 7: Pull up on the door panel. This will remove the panel from the door. There may be a couple wires attached you will want to disconnect so you can move the panel out of the way. Here is a picture of the back of the door so you can see the hooks that are disengaged when you lift up |

Step 8: Remove the screws securing the factory speaker in place and pull down on the top clip and then pull upwards to remove. |

Step 9: Plug in the speaker harness included with your speaker kit. |
|
Step 10: Install the speaker bracket to the door, connect the speaker harness to the new speaker and then secure the speaker to the speaker bracket. |

Step 11: Replace the door panel back onto the vehicle using the opposite steps listed ad do the same thing for the other door panel |

Step 12: Sit back and enjoy your music coming from your new speakers. |
